Creating Great Comics

At Electric Dinosaur Art, we aim to make great comics, video games, and other entertainment set in the South or with Southern themes and characters. In 2017, we successfully crowdfunded our debut title, Rebel Yell #1 on IndieGoGo after being banned from the Kickstarter Platform. In 2018, we were banned from IndieGoGo after a successful crowdfunding campaign of Rebel Yell Issue #2 and our backers were forcibly refunded. We went to print and sent the comic out anyway. Despite the hardships faced, we continue to carry on creating.

Welcome to our little corner of cyberspace. Sit back, grab a drink, and enjoy yourself.

What We Do

Electric Dinosaur creates a variety of comics, from superheroes to supernatural thrillers. Our superhero comic Rebel Yell garnered media attention in 2018 when it was banned from IndieGoGo after a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Electric Dinosaur has entered into electronic entertainment through our video game, Gun on the Chickahominy, a humorous, retro pixel-shooter launched in May of 2021.

“Fun Read. Love the art.”

Rebel Yell battles a super powered singer who fights with his powers and song lyrics. This feels like it was torn right out of the silver age of comics. Simple premise with outlandish fighting and a damsel in distress. Fun read. Love the art.

” Really a fun book! “

Really a fun book! It took me back to the comics of when I was a kid (mid to late 80s), and even featured some cool parody ads of a movie and video game systems that may have appeared in comics at the time. Well drawn with a superhero and villain that are both pretty unique. Has great potential for readers in seeing where the character goes in the future! Definitely anxious to see more of this title!

“Dude, make a Rebel Yell mask!”

Dude, make a Rebel Yell mask . . . I think that would be super neat.

A Sad Update

With Christmas less than a week away, we’re sad to announce that our artist and friend, Carl B. Embalzado, has passed away. Carl penciled and inked Rebel Yell Issues 1-4, and was midway through #5 when he passed. Carl lived his life for the comic arts with a passion that none could match. More than…
